opa is the american way we say 'cheers' because of 'my big fat greek wedding.' but in reality, the word to say 'cheers' is 'yiamas (yah mas)!'
at lunch the other day, some teenagers were eating and broke into traditional greek dancing. i was asked to join them and well...you can't say no!
after i sat back down to finish my lunch, a big chunk of water came flying my way and hit me on my face and hair line. just when i was going to turn around and give someone a stare down, erin told me this was a sign of affection and friendship. so i guess the greek girls thought i could dance. haha! :)
